TAMKO Donates Shingles to Habitat for Humanity Project – Horch Roofing and Volunteers support Pop for Change
Peter Horch and Horch Roofing have supported the local branch of Habitat for Humanity on many occasions. For years, the company has donated their time to install roofs on homes built by Habitat in Midcoast Maine. During the 2014 winter season when Habitat had built a new addition on their Re-Store in Rockport; Horch Roofing was ready to help with partnerships formed with TAMKO and Pop For Change.
TAMKO Building Products, Inc. decided to join the efforts in donating all of the material used for this project. TAMKO is a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial roofing products. For years, Horch Roofing has proudly represented TAMKO products and when Horch asked for the company’s assistance, TAMKO was eager to help.
“TAMKO really stepped up to the plate in helping our community. We couldn’t be more grateful for the support of TAMKO,” said Peter Horch, owner and President of Horch Roofing. “We value our relationship with them and this product line will be a terrific fit for the Habitat Re-Store project in Rockport. Their generosity in our local community is deeply appreciated.”
Horch Roofing recently went a step further in their support for Midcoast Habitat for Humanity by volunteering time and labor in conjunction with Pop For Change. In 2014,Pop For Change coordinates volunteer work for local non-profit organizations. It is currently in its inaugural year, and offers volunteer opportunities for community members. The 2014 beneficiaries of Pop For Change’s efforts are United Mid-Coast Charities, MCH Meals on Wheels, Hospitality House, and Coastal Opportunities. The Habitat for Humanity project was one opportunity for Midcoast Maine community members to get involved and help support a local non-profit organization. In addition to his company’s support for the non-profit organization, Horch also sits on Midcoast Habitat for Humanity’s Board of Directors. To find out more about Midcoast Habitat for Humanity, visit their website at http://www.midcoasthabitat.org/.
