Evergreen Home Performance is proud to help sponsor Pop for Change, and yesterday the team put some muscle into that sponsorship by volunteering for Midcoast Habitat for Humanity.

Presented by Megunticook Market and Cellardoor Winery, Pop for Change celebrates the spirit of volunteerism. Participants earn free tickets to Pop For Change—an incredible evening of community, live music, food, wine– by volunteering four hours at one of the designated community organizations.

Volunteering for Midcoast Habitat was a natural fit for Evergreen Home Performance. The Rockland-based energy efficiency company has provided expertise, analysis, and plenty of hard work air sealing and insulating homes for qualified local families in need.

“We have a strong alignment with the Habitat mission,” said Richard Burbank, Evergreen’s President and CEO.  “We pride ourselves on creating efficient, environmentally-friendly homes that keep monthly expenses to a minimum.”

Yesterday, however, the Evergreen team wasn’t working in a home. Habitat is finishing an addition to the ReStore, and called on Evergreen to build shelves and display racks for the new space.

“This was not our usual air sealing and insulation work,” said Kathleen Meil, Evergreen’s Marketing Manager. “Part of the fun of volunteering is to get out there and do something different. This definitely didn’t feel like another day at work.”
