Bakersfield, California: The California Newspaper Publishers Association recently announced the winners of the Better Newspapers Contest at their annual event in Los Angeles, highlighting outstanding journalistic achievements.
We are proud of our partners, the Bakersfield Californian for receiving several awards within their family of newspapers, including five for the Californian itself. The Californian took home the following awards:
First place in the circulation category for Arts and Entertainment Coverage
Second place for Investigative Reporting
Second place in the Sports Special Section
First place for Best Sports Photo
