Dream Local Digital’s own Alyssa McCluskey recently submitted an article for the Inland Press Association’s Inlander, an Illinois-based publication dedicated to providing assistance for nearly 1,200 newspapers in the United States, Canada, and Bermuda.
Alyssa’s article addresses the importance of needs-based selling for media companies, like newspapers, who begin to sell digital services. Today, businesses are looking for long-term marketing strategies, and Alyssa states that when a publishing company begins offering digital services, it is important to focus on each client’s specific target audience and utilize social media tools that help reach this target audience. Needs-based selling is about offering a systematic plan based on each business’ specific needs.
